Nestled between the beautiful Pacific coast of Baja and the rugged San Pedro mountains, San Juanico has long been known by surfers as a the legendary "Scorpion Bay".
Its remote location has kept this a slow-paced fishing village, which continues to offer a remote escape in a tranquil setting. The towns own electric "grid" compliments our mission, as its power is produced from a wind/solar station located immediately adjacent to town. The station services a small percentage of the population in the town center. The rest of the town and surrounding area is completely off-grid.
Legendary for the scenery, fishing and surfing it offers - San Juanico is a wonderful place to spend time. The town sits on a pristine bay with a rich and vibrant marine ecosystem. Students are encouraged to explore and enjoy the unique experience San Juanico has to offer.
